FHIMA Call for Nominations

Deadline for the 2012 FHIMA Ballot is: January 20, 2012

Please take a moment to nominate someone for the FHIMA Board of Directors. We are looking for individuals to run for the following elected positions: President-Elect, Director, and Delegate to AHIMA.

Qualifications

President-Elect:

To qualify, the candidate must meet the following three qualifications:

• Candidate has experience serving as an FHIMA Board Member
• Candidate has experience as a Florida regional association President or FHIMA Committee Chairperson.
• Candidate is an Active Member of AHIMA and FHIMA

Additionally the President Elect should also have the following qualifications: 

1. Possess critical and strategic thinking skills. 
2. Strong desire for advancing the HIM profession and AHIMA.
3. Present a professional image and adheres to high ethical standards. 
4. Demonstrates strong leadership skills. 
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Strong organizational skills.
7. Ability to effectively lead and motivate committee chairs and members.
8. Ability to develop collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of goals.

        Note:  This is a 3 year commitment. 

Director:

To qualify, the candidate must meet both of these qualifications.

• Candidate has experience serving as an Florida regional association President or FHIMA Committee
• Candidate is an Active Member of AHIMA and FHIMA

Additionally the Director should also have the following qualifications: 

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
2. Strong organizational skills
3. Ability to effectively lead and motivate committee chairs and members.
4. Enthusiasm for the HIM profession
5. Ability to develop collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishments of goals.
    
   Note:  This is a two year commitment.

Delegate to AHIMA:

To qualify, the candidate must meet all qualifications.

• Candidate has served on the FHIMA Board or has experience as a Committee Chair
• Candidate has served as a regional association delegate to the FHIMA House of Delegates
• Candidate is an Active Member of AHIMA and FHIMA

Additionally the Delegate to AHIMA should also have the following qualifications: 

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
2. Strong organizational skills.
3. Enthusiasm for the HIM Profession.
4. Understanding of AHIMA, the profession and industry.
5. Possesses critical and strategic thinking skills. 
   
   Note:  This is a two year commitment.
